But not only is the envirement in the piece proper and in great detail, the dwarf and his equipment have extraordinary details in them. This really underline the fact that dwarves in most fantasy settings are superb craftsmen and put great honor in crafts.
Proportions are also spot on, there is no doubt that it's a dwarf.
Great color work, the earthly tones suit the subject.
To anyone who reads this:
do you like to design fantasy characters, or do you simply like to draw digitally?
i need somebody that is willing to design the artwork for the cards and the other elements for the game that i’m making. i can’t pay you for it, because i’m only 14 years old, but if i ever get to publish the game, i will contact you to make arrangements. if you are interested in working with me, leave a comment on elphirstudios.wordpress.com or contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
also, if you know somebody that would maybe be interested, send them there!
thanks in advance to everyone who wants to help.
the game that i’m making takes place in middle earth, so the style would be similar to Alan Lee’s and Jhon Howe’s, although the characters are not those appearing in the books or films. a couple of examples of the style that i like:
Некако ми буди машту - патуљак који носи фењер и сумњиво гледа иза себе, па онда и та сова која носи (патуљкове?) кључеве...
Где он иде? Шта планира да ради?
Ја не знам, али гледајући ову слику, није ми ни тешко да измаштам.
али ми само долази једна реч у главу - ЕПСКИ.
(Which is good.)
I love the light effects!!
this going straight into my dwarf collection... so hard to find really good dorf illustrations!
